About Your Weekend Experience
MotorLand Aragón is an ultra-modern marvel, born from the thrilling legacy of street racing in Alcañiz, where adrenaline-fueled events captivated audiences from 1963 to 2003. When safety concerns arose, the idea of creating a dedicated motorsport complex sparked into action!
With enthusiastic support from local institutions, the world-famous German architect Hermann Tilke took on the exciting challenge of designing this state-of-the-art facility. Stretching over 5.077 km with 17 exhilarating turns, the circuit wowed riders right from its first Grand Prix in 2010, earning the prestigious IRTA Best Grand Prix of the Year award an incredible achievement for a debut circuit!

Welcome to the charming Spanish town of Alcañiz, nestled along the picturesque Guadalope River in the Teruel province, part of the vibrant autonomous community of Aragon! Just 113 km from the provincial capital, Teruel, this delightful town boasts a population of over 16,000 and is steeped in history, as seen in the ancient structures of its enchanting old town center. Teruel province is one of Spain's hidden gems, offering a unique travel experience with its serene landscapes, rich rural traditions, mouthwatering local Spanish cuisine, and the captivating provincial capital, also named Teruel. Known across Spain for its dramatic climate, with sizzling summers and frosty winters, the region is also famous for its delectable Spanish cured ham (jamón serrano) – an absolute must-try!

Alcañiz and Teruel are easily accessible via Zaragoza and Reus airports, with the bustling cities of Barcelona and Madrid not too far away. While train and bus connections to smaller towns in the Teruel province might be limited, exploring by car or motorbike is a thrilling adventure! English isn't as widely spoken in Teruel or the broader Aragon region as in other parts of Spain, so having a Spanish phrasebook handy will enrich your journey, especially when ordering meals in Spanish. Embrace the local dining customs, with lunch typically served between 2 pm and 4 pm and dinner after 9 pm – perfect for soaking up the lively atmosphere! Throughout Aragon, you'll find meals and exquisite Spanish wine at fantastic prices, with many restaurants offering delightful three-course menus with a drink for under €10 at lunchtime. While tips aren't expected, they're always a lovely gesture!
